This was one of two kittens that survived being left out in the cold by my cat (who was a first time mother).There were four in all, but by the time we found them, only two were still alive. They were so cold that my sister and I had to hold them by a heater and rub them for several minutes. I was lucky enough to capture this one sucking his thumb!edit: The kitten in this picture was only a day old. The mother didn't know what to do with them at first, so they were bottle-fed for the first two days. Sadly, they only lived to see three weeks old...

I guess so! We got him a dog chew toy that helps clean their teeth, and it's shaped like a toothbrush!

I remember finding my cat after some bad flooding a few years ago. She was part of a strayβs litter that was washed away when the storm drains flooded. Mama kitty and the rest of the litter was never found, but I found Hersheys the day after, washed up on a small island in the stream that ran past my house. She was only a few days old, but she survived and is now a fat happy kitty. If not a little psycho.

That's aweseome! I got most of my pets as strays or give aways in parking lots. I even got one (briefly) after she rode 22 miles stuck in a guy's truck tire!

This story actually made me shed a tear. I nearly lost my kitty to all sorts of things, tics, fleas, earmites, worms, mange. You name it, he had it. I stayed up for days after we first got him just to make sure that he was breathing when he was asleep. He is now a happy, healthy nearly three year old who loves cuddles!
