Description
When the battle with Kurt Zisa started, I first realised how silly it was to bring Aladdin along; he doesn't have the Second Chance ability, meaning he would die again and again after getting hit couple silly times. Which is exactly what happened. Another problem I had was that I equipped Ultima Weapon for the battle (which I was too lazy to draw for this comic). Seemed like a good plan at first, but its long reach turned against me when I was trying to beat those orbs. I simply kept missing all the time and locking on didn't help one bit. The battle took much longer than it normally does, and it kinda got boring. Still, the battle wasn't THAT challenging since my level was already pretty high and I had Tinker Bell with me too.I was thinking about drawing a couple more epic battles (since I feel like making comics at the moment) but I'm out of paper right now. 8D;;
I'll get more next week, but my inspiration might have gone by then.
Oh and I enjoyed drawing Sora's hair over and over again~
Overall I tried to put a little bit more effort into this. I hope it shows. o.o

Oh, I think it's predictable all right. But it's still challenging to run far away fast enough, his range is pretty wide. So it's not like I ever beat him without getting any hits myself or anything, but I've still always thought he's easier to beat than Phantom or Ice Titan. Phantom is probably the toughest for me, I've always been bad with spells, I mix up the buttons all the time. Well okay, Seph is the toughest since I've never beat him (was close once but not close enough). And I haven't played Final Mix sooo I wouldn't know about the Unknown.

I think the reason i found Phantom easier than both Ice Titan and Kurt was. I need to hit him 3 times and before he fires his energy ball i go to the other side of the clock. Do you have a PS3 cause Kingdom Hearts 1.5 is the Final Mix version.

I have PS3. I wouldn't mind playing Final Mix if someone got it for me, but I don't see the point in buying the game myself when I already own one version of it. I don't think there'd be enough new features for it to be worth it, you know?
I guess I'm not such a big fan anymore.

It's alright i think it's best if you buy a used copy. The best part of 1.5 is that you also get Re:Chain of memories and you get a film version of 358/2 days. I think the best game is Final Mix the new feautures is that some weapons have been made stronger and there is new gear. And also you get a great secret ending that and it is the final version of Kingdom Hearts 1. If you don't want to buy that there is 2.5 which has both KH2 and Birth by sleep final mix.

I'm on Level 100 in Beginner for 1.5 Final Mix, and I'm too nervous to fight this guy.

Equip Once more, Second chance or both (I don't remember if you have them both in KH1), then Tinker Bell and some badass keyblade. Try Oblivion if Ultima Weapon seems too long. I'd suggest taking Donald and Goofy with you because they also have that Second chance ability which Aladdin lacks.
And Dodge Roll away whenever Kurt Zisa does that whirling attack thing. Overall his attack patterns aren't complex so you should figure out how to go about it soon enough. He's probably gonna land some hits, but with that level and difficulty and all the health increasing items in the world you should beat him pretty quickly.

Oh, I haven't beaten Sephiroth yet...I always screw up the timings when he uses his one-hit KO for when I use the mega elixer thingy. I actually only defeated the Ice Titan and the Mysterious Man.
I'm proud of myself, actually...I never thought I would ever beat a bonus boss, let alone one that was only included in the Final Mix!

If you beat the mysterious man you have a chance of beating Kurt Zisa. Sephiroth can take a while to beat.

Just the Ice Titan. Even though I'm level 100 (along with Donald and Goofy) and playing on Beginner, Phantom takes forever for me to kill, even with a Keyblade that has the highest MP.

Sorry but that's how the Phantom fight works. You need to bring loads of MP items and it's best you have Firaga,Blizzaga and Thundaga.

It's best to beat the Hades cup to get all of the upgraded elemental spells. And also you will get Lionheart which has the same strength as Olympia but increases your MP by 1 and it has good reach.

I've never beaten Sephiroth either (nor the Mysterious Xemnas-looking dude since I've only ever played the normal KH). So compared to him Kurt Zisa and Phantom are ridiculously easy.

Thanks! I had to keep my distance for the most part, and quickly summoned Tinker Bell before he cast that spell at the beginning. Also, I equipped every slot in my inventory with any kind of Elixir, though I ended up only using one during the fight.
All I have left is the Phantom, and Sephiroth.

Do you know how to go about Phantom then? For me it was always the tougher one to beat because I always just tend to whack things with the keyblade rather than use magic, and beating Phantom is all about using the right spells. xD

I haven't beaten the Phantom yet, I always end up running out of elixirs, and I have to constantly use the Stop spell.

Stopra only needs to be done when Phantom floats in front of the clock, casting the death curse. If you miss it then there's no point trying to cast it when one of the party members already has the countdown over them, it won't have any effect, so just focus on landing hits on the enemy and then try Stopra again when he approaches the clock tower for the second time. Apart from Stopra the whole battle is just about casting Firaga, Thundaga or Blizzaga depending on what color the glow around Phantom is at certain times (red, yellow or blue). And I guess the glow was white when you have to hit with the Keyblade.

I got 1.5 ReMIX for christmas, and I just found this guy last night. He kicked my ass so many times, I still can't beat this Snake Gilgamesh.

You might need to level up a bit. Once you're on a high level it takes a while for it to beat you to death and you might even be able to do it quicker! xD

Try again at 70, and remember to bring Tinker Bell with you. And second chance, once more and all those abilities that won't let you die instantly.

Haha, it was pretty fun after I got the hang of it. The first time I tried fighting him I was in complete panic mode (even though I think I still won). Phantom is also somewhat fun, but I usually always mix up the buttons and start casting wrong spells and everyone dies, haha.

And I guess there's no other limitations in beginner mode than the fact that the deep dive video isn't available in the end? I thought it would also affect to the availability of some battles, but that was probably just my own assumption.

Well, I don't really care about the bonus videos (aren't they available to watch on YouTube anyways?), so it's not a problem. Though the trophy earned by getting all Ansem Reports...can't be gained unless you beat some of the bonus bosses, who hold some of the AR pages. Course, beating THEM also gets you trophies.

Well, "Trophies" are a sort of achievement system on PS3 games. Nearly every PS3 and PS Vita game has them, though it wasn't implemented until around late 2008. Now as of 2009, every new PS game released has them.
Things like "beat the game on this difficulty", or even ones that are hidden (possibly to avoid spoilers) that don't pop up until you fulfill the conditions.
It's all similar to the Xbox 360's Achievements, although one difference is that most retail games have a Platinum, but you can't get that until you collect all the non-DLC trophies.

Ah, that explains a whole lot, I haven't played anything with PS3 or Xbox, Just PS2, DS and PSP basically. We do have PS3 and I have a certain game I'd like to play but I'm still gathering courage to play it (it's Catherine). So I have no trophies yet! D8

OH COME ON!!!! how come everyone can beat kurt zisa but me?! he's impossible! three hits and im dead! im already level 53! I tried everything! my only hope is to go to the coliseum and keep playing until im level 100! BAH! I beat even lvl 100 I wont be able to beat him!

My level is usually around 70 when I try to beat those big bosses, haha.
Though I hear it is possible on level 50 too, but you'd have to know exactly how the boss is going to move and fight and yeah, Tinker Bell would be a must. That's what I think, anyway.
And Sephiroth I've never beaten even while in level 99 (or 100, I don't rememer if it's possible to be level 100 in KH1).

(it is....especially with game shark! it unlocks all cheat codes) yeah well I tried every method. three hits as always. I am managed to avoid his spin attacks but only for a short time. when his spins upwards he just keeps going and he somehow keeps hitting me! im just glad I finally found out that he's just a bonus boss! Im a little disappointed and happy at once. im upset that I put so much time into beating him and im happy that I dont have to fight him but I still wish I can see him vanish and turn into darkness....

Yeah, I guess you really don't need to beat him. I usually do because I think he's easier to beat than Phantom and I want to warm up a bit. And I want to beat Phantom because if I don't I can't get to the clock tower and get those random items anymore. :'D

well he humiliated me on youtube. I was making videos and I have probably 10 vids of me getting beat over and over. When I get oblivion and get stronger im going after him. I wont stop until I beat him and I get my title the master gamer back. that is what my channel is called btw. He made me look like a noob! Im looking forward to seeing that light when you beat the boss.

I just beat Kurt Zisa on the first try. And my HP didn't go into alert zone, nor did I have to use Curaga.

Haha, good for you. Out of curiosity though, what level were you on, and what was your playing mode? I think when I first played against him I also beat him pretty easily, but I'm sure I used curaga at some point (and Tinker Bell). But now that it's been a couple of years since I last played any KH games, I'd probably die fast.

Oblivion is probably my favorite keyblade, it's powerful but not to long like the Ultima Weapon.

258/2 Days. I've only played it once. That's pretty bad, considering I've played 1 and 2 both around 5 times.
But KH is a hard game to play with DS or PSP. The buttons are too small and when you have to press them like crazy ALL THE TIME, your fingers will start to hurt very quickly. 8|
