Illustrated here, friends, is a Nayging, a Personal Daemon of the Doubt variety. Oozing doubt, it is a particularly persistent one, and it has a tendency to crawl onto people’s shoulders and try to tug at their ears, hissing into them. In fact, it appears that they find earrings particularly interesting.

Being fairly small, I find that Naygings may run in packs now and again, all clambering over one another to get at their chosen human. This seems to be closely linked to fretting and frantic behavior.

There is so much more to write on these creatures, but the hour is late and there is much to do. I’m afraid that the tiresome task of writing this book must wait until the morn, or I may fall asleep at my keyboard. With a little luck, Gremlins will leave the computer alone until then.

Ahh, another entry from our mysterious, italicized cryotozoologically-inclined friend. I wish I had some photos developed of a small sculpture I did of a juvenile Nayging that I can pin to my vest. I’d planned on loading them both at the same time… But… well, I’m impatient and decided to load this first anyway.
