Hi.

Your art is very beautiful.

Do you use a real pic as reference for creating this? or something?

Yes, I used a photo reference as my guide

nataliebeth In reply to Darkestroom [2012-09-28 06:40:42 +0000 UTC]

Haha really? Its just block painting and then refining

Darkestroom In reply to nataliebeth [2012-09-28 10:14:52 +0000 UTC]

it must be the block painting thingy, its just confusing they way its done i think lol

Haha, well I guess thats why we have our own style. I like this because its fast and I can see the painting coming together quickly, plus it stops me from taking forever on the little details.
Like, its very different to how I started.

i spose thats true, ive had to draw for the course im doing and ive changed how i use photoshop a lot due to that.
it just jumps all over the place which i think is the main cause for my confusion lol

nataliebeth In reply to Darkestroom [2012-09-30 02:49:50 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah, now I understand your confusion. I pretty much work on an area until I get frustrated/happy with it and then move to the next section, then come back and refine it
Sounds good.

Aww thanks! It is kinda something I developed, it's good because it's fast and creates a real "paintery" feel at the end.
