The most handsome Ben Barnes, well known for his portrayal of Prince Caspian in the Narnia series.

This was by far the hardest drawing I've done to date.
I have to thank my beautiful friend who popped over to my house on the monday and helped convince me to not "fix" the drawing with a pair of scissors. She took the drawing away from me and forced me to leave the room and as I said goodbye at the front door she told me. "It better be finished when I get back"
So I worked my butt off!

All jokes aside, I had a new type of paper, which was a smooth bristol and it was very different to what I was used to, so I had trouble at the beginning because I accidentally went too dark and couldn't erase back.
The skintone was a real bugger and I used nearly a whole box of tissues... my desk and floor was covered in them, and I used my whole new 8B pencil for the hair and clothes...

Anyway!

Haha the hair actually only took a couple of hours, it was the skintone that took forever...
And yes, his eyes, I just think they're amazing, I had to draw them.

you have outdone yourself my love because you have made this guy look hotter than he is e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/> the hair has that perfect shine and the hair line is also showing the way it should....the shadows and the light have also been placed so rightfully and smoothly giving the sketch that all so beautiful realistic effect....

Oh wow, I must have done well!
Oh that hair! It was a nightmare to draw in the beginning but once I figured out a plan it was much easier than I thought it would be! But thankyou so much for your wonderful kind words, they mean alot to me, especially coming from you.
Those eyes are soo... deep, dark, mysterious and sexy! How is that possible?

I really do love Ben Barnes because of his smoldering looks and his lovely acting, but now whenever I look at this, I'm more than in love! I haven't seen to many pictures drawn of Ben, but this has to be one of the absolute best portraits I have ever seen drawn of him!e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/f… " width="18" height="17" alt="" title="I think I've fainted."/> And I think a lot of people and your friends will agree with me e.deviantart.net/emoticons/a/a… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title="Aww"/>
I don't really know what to say because this masterpiece pretty much says everything that you need to know.
It expresses the amount of effort and detail that you have put into this. His skin tone with all the highlighs, shadows and his facial hair are all stunning and his lips and eyes are gorgeous! And I'm more than in love with his amazingly detailed hair! It's as if you have worked on each single hair strand until it has achieved the top level of perfection. All of the shadows and highlights are perfect too. And his leather jacket, looks so incredibly real and the spots where they reflect the light and all the shadows are impecable.
This highlights your talent immensely and shows off your full potential. But the thing is, I know that you are only going to get better from now on and this isn't the best we will see from you! Fist ever critique, so sorry if it's not good.

I love the wisps of hair everywhere. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="26" height="17" alt="" title="Love"/> And the shine in his hair. I love the messy, cool vibe it all gives off.

The strong, cool look in his eyes is just... AAHHH! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/l… " width="19" height="19" alt="" title="La la la la"/> And the detail on his jacket is just simply fantastic! Looks like genuine leather!

Personally, though, the ear seems a bit odd to me. Though I'm not familiar with this person so I have no idea if that's how his ear honestly looks.

I think I may have drawn the ear slightly out of proportion because when I compare the original with my drawing I can see differences, so thankyou for your clever spotting.

oh my goodness woman youve got some serious talent there. it would have been a REAL shame if you had cut it up i am soooo baffled by how you can make your drawing seem like its...glowing? or something. i dont know. it just seems so soft and realistic. i always aim to have my drawings turn out like this but havent really gotten this far. you are truly amazing. never give up.

I haven't commented on this yet why have I not commented on this yet!! I must be bloody crazy thats why because I have been missing my regular dose of Natsomeness and I couldn't fine you in my inbox (it cramped full ) so i was like I'll just go to her profile page....and give myself a heart attack!!!! shiesse all this yummy goodness that i haven't seen till now some one shoot me!!

Ben is hot and you make him look hotter this sketch is gorgeous and to die for - my jaw is literally hanging on the floor and it seems it has no intention of coming back up the details are so in depth and magnificent and the tones/values are so dark and lecker. Looks to me as if he just might come of the page I love how you've made the facial hair and the shading of the jacket is perrrfect!! It's so cool that through your superior skills you have actually shown us what material that jacket is made of - that kind of detailed shading is masterful. Now the main part the hair woah!! the hair is awesome! The highlights are killer and make it look so real that i could just run my fingers through them.....all in all if Ben saw this one day he would just smother you in the tightest hug known to mankind but the sad part for him would be to have to wait his turn cuz if i find you first then i'm not letting go
