Description We are cups, constantly and quietly being filled. The trick is, knowing how to tip ourselves over and let the beautiful stuff out. ~Ray Bradbury

Thanks for tipping your beautiful stuff out to fill me up. Happy Squishday. This is the ultimate result from fractalling and listening to The Library. Inspired.

Thanks, I'm so glad you like it. It was meant to portray books, shelves, and bright rugs. But as with all fractals, it's all how the person viewing it sees it.

it's... supposed to be....*dies* I don't see that at all! It confuzzles me and I like it but I don't like being confuzzled!

Oooh, swirling staircases!

...I want a library with swirling staircases.

NatalieKelsey In reply to ocelott [2007-02-19 14:11:01 +0000 UTC]

Four staircases! It's bigger than Hogwart's library!! I need a library like that. Or like the one in Beast's castle.

ocelott In reply to NatalieKelsey [2007-02-20 00:26:32 +0000 UTC]

Yes! I always sigh over the library in Beast's castle. Then my mom tries to remind me it's a cartoon, which would theoretically make it hard to steal the Beast's library...

Stellar work, the only thing is the texture, which I think doesn't work here...this one would be a great one to showcase its smooth, stylish lines.

NatalieKelsey In reply to Phoenix-22 [2007-02-18 02:00:34 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for your suggestions, Matt!

Um....I'm unable to divorce the texture from the shapes, though. Whenever I use rectangle this way I get the watercolor paper texture.

Must be another variations with rectangles though, maybe some julian in there?

There's a few others; square, polar, disc, split, rings2 and linear.

Apophysis does these textures these days? I'm a bit out of touch! Excellent design and colours too!

It happened when I started using rectangles! I don;t know enough about the math to understand why it happens, but I love it!

AnnaKirsten In reply to NatalieKelsey [2007-02-15 20:57:16 +0000 UTC]

Aaah! I'm not using any of the Beta versions because they mess up my computer for some reason. So obviously I'll have to wait for the next stable version to come out complete with all these extras before I play (although I did hear somewhere that there wasn't going to be another stable version - don't take that as gospel, it's only hearsay and may not be true)!

one of the few fractals where stunning technique meets aesthetical beauty. everything just seems right in this piece: the gradient, the texture, the shape, ... i even don't mind the symmetry here .
brilliant work!
