Agreed expression sheets I find very tricky, still hammering away at my own in fact - hope they end up looking as good as this!

Fantastic! Those expressions are, indeed, quite expressive! They're very clean and the mouth and eyes are right on. I also like the shoulders; they push the animated feel to the expressions. I like the poses too, it's nice to see how she carries herself. Boy, I got to get to doing some expressions too.
Doing a web comic huh? That sounds pretty difficult, good luck. I'm looking forward to it!

Thank you! I always get worried and paranoid with expressions. I have had people say in the past to me that my expression work is some of my weakness so means a lot for you to say that!
Yea you should try out some sheets! It can be really difficult, and frustrating when you don't get it right :/ but I always think 'the sooner I start, the sooner I can improve!'.
I've felt sick recently though, I was going through some artwork online by artists I like, and realised they are so much younger than me but their skills are so impressive! How can this be?! DX
Yep, going to be exhausting but I've heard it's a fast way to improve your skills plus I have been designing so many stories and not doing anything with them, so this time I am forcing myself too!

They came out pretty well me. I know it's hard, it took me a year or so to be able to draw the same character from different angles and keep the faces consistent. I think I will try doing some expression sheets and see how that goes since I usually have pretty stiff faces. I need to bring some of that life into them that you do so effortlessly.
And yeah, I always feel bad when I check out others work and find it to be really inspirational only to discover they are 5 years younger than me. Why time? Why you gotta be like that?
Procrastination doesn't help, just get in there and start working on your stuff so you won't regret it later. We all know how that feels. Now I need to get back to work...right after I play some more Saints Row.

GET BACK TO WORK D:<
Dude, I haven't played a game in so long. Last one was The Last of Us, and I did that in something like 15 hours. I do think I will make time to play Two Souls when that comes out! I've heard of Saints Row but never played it. Is it good?
I am now expecting you to upload an expression sheet by 10pm GMT time. No...Make that TWO sheets (punishment for playing games instead of working).

Saints Row is awesome, I'm so close to the platinum for SR the Third, I must get it today! I'm looking forward to Two Souls too, I just love me some Willem Dafoe and yay for female leads with Ellen Page! Saints Row does a great job with allowing for a female lead too. The voice work and dialog is top notch stuff.
I'm totally going to work on some expression sheets soon, hopefully getting started today. Seeing your work is good motivation for me to get going on mine.

Yeah, facial expressions and angle shots of the head are really hard to master. It's something we as artists have to practice almost on a daily basis.
Well luv, I'm finalizing my preparations for my showcase this evening. Wish me luck!

Meh. The showcase was okay. I didn't sell any art last night, but my intent was to build possible clientele & get future commissions. Since it was only last night, I'll have to wait and see.

Yea, contacts are definitely much more valuable. Still wish you the best of luck with it though! These things are always very nerve-racking (at least for me!), you can never predict what people are looking for. Only do the best you can and hope that it tickles someone the right way.

You're spot on about not being able to predict what people are looking for in art. I think the terms 'free' and 'cheap' is what tickles their fancy.
Thanks for the luck wish. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

No! Free and cheap is where they try and get you, I've already done that, and never again...Though to be fair it was pretty good experience, it was difficult for paying for anything...Like FOOD! I guess on a positive side note, I did loose some weight. Thought that could also have been through the stress.
