It's mid-July and in just over a week or so the salmon will start running. This is a fact that doesn't escape the bears. Every day we would see at least a couple hanging around the mouth of the creek with anticipation. Knowing that any day the waters would be running thick with food. These two bears came down to check out the creek and then spent the afternoon play-fighting. It was a pretty amazing scene. We had been fogged in for a couple days and as this scene played out before us the fog lifted and we were able to see the mountains again.

A wonderful example of how a picture of a wild animal doesn't always have to be "up close and personal". The title also fits the content perfectly.

Beautiful Nate, this really shows the expansive wilderness of that region! Having the bears on the sand bar just adds icing to the cake so to speak!
