You mean those actually do something?I'm pretty sure anyone who has EVER played pokemon can sympathize with this. Concept's been sitting in my sketchbook for a while, but, I finally got around to it tonight lol

I'm glad you liked it xD It was a helluva lot of work to make, but a lot of fun, too ^_^ I kinda wish I had flash, though. I hear tweening makes animations a lot easier than fbf

i never understood how just a rock will hurt them when they can survive moves llike:
Hypr beam
iron tail
thunderbolt(which is literally 10,000 volts as it says in japanese
and even Roar of Time ( Seriously If you fight time you will lose)

The rock doesn't hurt them. It just pisses them off and makes them more likely to go away.

sad thing is, i spent like 10000 bucks in pokemon money trying to catch a chansey, i buy pearl version, and its in a damn grass patch

Throwing rocks makes the pokemon more willing to run away but they're easier to catch.
Bait makes them stay but harder to catch.

That last panel really does it. xD The more I look at it, the funnier it gets. Especially because the Tauros is just standing there with that facial expression, only moving his pupils to the right and left like wtf. I also couldn't shake off the thought he's gonna attack you any time soon. xD

Bait makes the Pokemon less likely to run away, but makes them harder to catch.
Rocks make the Pokemon easier to catch, but makes them more likely to run away.
Safari balls have the worst catch rate ever. They need to make Safari balls with better catch rates.

Poor Tauros.. hehe. Still, this is quite adorably cute. I'd say having the Tauros' cheeks grow and shrink as if it were eating the bait would add to the panel, especially as the top half of the image has no movement but the lower does.
