I was looking through pictures and trying to figure out what my character's hair should look like. I've been having a really tough time fleshing out that idea, and though your picture doesn't really help me in with my situation, I still stopped when I saw this picture and simply said, "Wow". It's gorgeous! Amazing work!

wow...this one just stunned me it reached out to me in so many ways ...she's strong and almost mis understood...still she carries out alot of femininity mainly through the pose. I missed your art sooo much!

I like how strong her face is...like disdainful or a dare...to actually be able to turn her back on the world and everything on it, not because she's afraid but because she can and she chose to, like daring anyone to say something. Yet she seems vulnerable, still having faith in the world to see her defiance.

amazing, just breathtaking when i first saw it.
I was trying to create a piece with newpapers and whatnot but it didnt work out for me. it kept falling apart. how were you able to achieve the overall look?

I am really glad that you like it.
I cut out sections of newpaper and used gloss gel medium to adhere them to the canvas. I always put a thin layer directly on the canvas, then on the back of the newspaper to ensure there will be no air bubbles or anything. Then I use a flat brush to coat the newpaper clipping in a thin layer. I press down gently to make sure the newpaper clipping is smooth with no wrinkles (plus it gets rid of any air bubbles you missed). If you don't want it to be too glossy, you can also use matte gel medium.
After the newspaper clippings are in place and dry, you just paint until your heart's content. (b ^ _ ^)b
