Well she did literally reject him in the last mario game, not to mention their entire relationship if you can call it that was basically a friendship thing as best. They never really did anything boyfriend/girlfriend like Peach at best would kiss him on the cheek (in earlier games) or the nose when saved, and unlike Luigi and Daisy (who we know are official) there was no evidence supporting this ship.Β
At least with Pauline the games manuals had them as boyfriend and girlfriend.
