Description
A fast painting I did of a fox. Took me no less than 3 hours. Its a little rought. Not as refined as I would have liked it. But this was just a fast painting I did. The reference I used was a picture I took myself when I was on vacation. This is of the fox that was on our deck.Done in Corel Painter and Photoshop,

I think you did an amazing job, and love how you only put tons of detail into the focal point of the picture; that's something I really need to start doing, because I find myself adding way too much detail, and there's just too much to take in, and it actually kind of ruins the picture.

Not really, I deal with a lot of animals and that tail definitely looks like a winter coat.

I was going off a photograph I took too. and that was the right length

the length is fine, and the outline, and for the most part I would believe that the tail actually looks like that, but the dark brown "squiggles" look out of place. It's a speed painting, so it's not like it's a big deal, but because the rest of his body is so smooth, my eyes move straight from his face to his tail and the tail isn't as smooth as the rest of his body so it sticks out.
I'm not an art expert so I wouldn't take me too seriously.

Yeah I can see what you're saying. It was done really fast so I didnt have time to screw
around with things. But usually with tails the fur is more thicker. If you ever owned a pelt or
was up close and personal with the creatures you'd see their tail fur is a little longer for what ever
reason.
But next time I will fix it but this was just practice.

I agree that the tail fur is thicker, I think it's accurate, it's just that it looks a bit weird.

Thank you. When I first got into art and started posting on here
I made it apparent I was only going to do traditional work. But as I got
into schoool and learned it, I really wanted to make my digital work as good
as my traditional. I think I have made a drastic improvement since I first
started doing digital work.
