No, but I see the resemblance now that you mention it. I might've gotten inspired unintentionally.
I was simply trying out a new method of putting ink on paper and the creatures just sort of appeared.

It's strange how the things that leave the greatest lasting impacts always seem to be the simplest. I love the black on white here and the near deformity of the watching eyes, creates a very unsettling but perfect mood for this.
