Mei is a dog. She adores all of her "masters". But I've always imagined she has a particularly strong bond with Yukio, as he was the first of the kids to be born after Mei was taken in. Though admittedly, she's also somewhat partial to Kikyo, as Kikyo is a total animal lover and spoils her as rotten as a 5-year-old can possibly spoil a dog.
