Description I made this drawing 2003, during a period in my life when I was awfully depressed. And it shows in all the arwork I did back then. (I don't think I've ever been as productive as I was during those years...)

I saw myself as the girl in the picture, of course. The quality pf the pic isn't great; I scanned a copy of the picture, because - *devastated* - I seem to have lost the original.

It's Incredible! I L0ve It!
I know..y0u are right ab0ut being productive in a depressed state. I've d0ne it..and still in the pr0cess. D0ing what y0ur d0ing..and what I d0, is rather cathartic. At least, I seem to think so.
Keep it up.

Your work has NO equal.
The subject matter is done perfectly. All that is evil and good in one work of art.
Please do more like this.

Thank you very much.
I believe I poured much of the angst I felt at the time into this drawing... But I sincerely hope I will never feel that way again - even if it means my art won't reach perfection.

Your work is great. I'm new at this and am going to try to copy some of your style. As soon as I figure out what program is good for a new guy.

New? You mean new at digital art or new in general?

To imitate the techniques of other artists can be a good inspiration. I've done that a lot and I still do on occasion. You also learn a lot.
I am very flattered. Almost blushing.

I use Photoshop CS2 (began somewhere in 2001 with Photoshop 6.0). For 3d I use Alias Maya. But there are loads of software you may use. Most offer the same rage of tools, so it's just a matter of preference. I suggest you begin with whatever is easy to get hands on. GIMP is a freeware program which is very useful.

O well, if you want to know anything, just ask. Good luck!

You have excellent skill with drawing the human figure and conveying emotions through their postures..not to mention equal skill with the medium. I hope you can find the original someday.

Okay, this may seem like a weird comment, but...you draw amazing feet and hands. Those are hard to do. The piece is really great! And depression lends itself well to art...my most prolific poetry writing is done when I'm down. You draw great hair, too.

thats a great drawing. i know how being depressed feels like and i know you just need to get the feelings out somehow. i love this one. especially because it has a story behind it.
