Love these, but so rarely see them.....except for today I saw 4 fresh ones like this one on a butterfly bush while out for a walk. They are quite intense in coloring and one of the rare medium sized orange butterflies round here (I had hoped they were monarchs from far when I spotted them, but got closer and realized I was wrong, but was still glad to see them as I've seen none here of these either in several years). Stellar capture!!!

I love this species. There are whole flocks of them around here. I've never seen one this close though.
