Hi, with rain coming in anytime now, I went out early this morning to find a Deer to get some pics of. It was cold out there ..26 F with just a hint of wind, but bright and sunny. I went to the upper field, on one of my friends farm, and set up in the tree line,and just waited it out. Not long afterwards this one comes along about 1/3 hour after sunrise. It fed for a bit and then started to rub it's antlers on a small sapling. This is the first time I've got a pic of this behavior.....Enjoy the following pics as it moves along the edge and comes really close to me. I was laying down on the ground with a pretty good view of this field segment, and yeah I did shiver a bit....should have put on the thick sweater instead of just a sweat shirt,under the camo coat.
