Hi, I was able to get out for a short while this morning, and saw this wood duck as it was cruising down the marsh brook.The water is still very high, so I took this pic from the wood line along the marsh. I had to shoot through some branches and wait for it to float into a clear area, or relatively clear,spot. This is one of the better pics I got, and I like the way the out of focus branches frame the duck...Enjoy!Related content

Yeah, They are one of mine also.. this one and the Male Hooded Merganser....2 very colorful woodland ducks in my area.

Yeah they do. I've been searching the marsh for a nest tree but haven't found one yet that will give me some pic ops...most of them are way out in the flooded area.

Someone put a pair of them on the Moat some years ago, and they mated with the Mandarin ducks
