Hi, I took today off from work, and went out n about all day. Sometimes we just need a " Me Day"....
well, I went to one of my friends farms and walked into the large back field. I was looking for song birds to shoot pics of along the hedgerows. in the far left corner of the field is a huge boulder about 20 feet into the field, surrounded by the berry bushes and an old apple tree. I set up in the edge, with the sun at my back and just waited to see what would show up.
it didn't ake long before a pair of Cardinals came and started feeding on the berries. I got this pic of the Male, be the female was a tough cookie... she always stayed inside the bushes and never gave me a good shot.

What was really neat was after I got this pic, I noticed some movement in the wood line...it's a Buck coming into the field !
well I just froze, and watched it as it was coming right in my direction..this was intense, because any false move by me and it would have bolted on me. So it comes up to the bush, thankfully on the other side, and walks around it, ( I moved off to the left a bit, and set up for it to reappear ).. and here he comes, and then when I shot the first pic he heard the camera ( even in silent mode)..and looks in my direction.I got a bunch of cool pics and will post them now.. see you on my gallery page !!!
