Description Captured this picture of a Male Pearl Crescent Butterfly today. I went out looking for birds, but they were all hanging in the tree tops. So I switched to my Macro lens and went butterfly shooting .

Your welcome George. How have you been? We have had a really really dry spring here, and now early summer is shaping up to be pretty wet of far. One area south of us got 7 inches last weekend. It will certainly make the hay grow but then hopefully it will be dry enough to cut when the time comes. The joys of farming.

Hi Candace, Well I've been really busy with work, and not having much time for shooting or computer time... but I still make the best of the weekends weather permitting. My friend has already cut his fields and we baled up 200 bales of hay last weekend... and he will cut again in the fall so it's been a good year for hay up my way.
The birds have been tough to find around here, so I'm shooting more Macro shots to stay in practice. I just hope the birds are on a return swing, it's been 2 years of low bird numbers.... and I'm not seeing a lot of the ones I used to see.
tlk to you later George

I have a red headed woodpecker visiting the yard this year. We don't see them around here very often. He has even been coming to the bird feeders. Why do you think your bird numbers are low?
Still very cloudy, cool and rainy here. Lots of crop land under water. Just not getting sunny and dry enough to start cutting hay yet. Catch you later.
