Description I saw this migrating flock of birds as they flew overhead of me yesterday. They were trying to stay ahead of the thunder storm that was bearing down on us.
It's neat how this shot captures all the different wing positions of a birds flight.

Anyone want to count how many are in frame?

Yeah they are "Common Grackles" a type of blackbird.

Oh my LIFE This shot is nothing short of being truly amazing. The thundering, rolling clouds in the background, their faint traces of washed colours, and then that curtain of flying birds in front of it. Almost looks like 'all the birds in the world' are fleeing for that storm. Just wonderful and amazing

Oh and my best guess would be approaching 200 :'D

Yeah it was an impressive site to behold yesterday. This shot only shows about half the flock....it continued on to the left and right for a good distance more.
