75th Rangers is considered SF and they don't usually wear their patches on mission either, nonetheless, great photo

This is really great shot. What makes it even more impressive is how you shot it when the bullet was in the air. And it's not blurry!
Really nice work

It's taken me a while to learn how to control the shutter, theΒ aperture, and such. apart from that, it's take pictures of stuff around you. that's what I do. I also use filters to help bring out the pictures as well. then when i'm done, I use lightroom and photoshop to do post-editing to remove anything i feel takes from the photo. but i'm still learning so i'd say my photos are no where near incredible. but i hope to work up to professional level one day.

well as far as i've read and watched on youtube, Nikon's really good with it's sharpness, where canon is good with skin tones. so with most of my work being landscapes, the nikon cameras really work out well. i've only used canon a few times and it's ok, just i'm so used to how nikon is set up.Β

Well, it not like I have the money to buy a new camara so...
En fin, Right now I am working with landcapes and nature but I want to try with people. Any advice?

with landscapes, get out and take pictures anything works, and if you see something that looks cool, take it's picture. I carry a small point and shoot camera when i go out looking for new places to shoot so i can get a feel of it. it'll tell me a lot of things about the place and what i'll need bring with me. Be it a tripod, some reflecting panels, or maybe wait for the sun to be at the right spot before i take it's picture. if you haven't yet, try using filters. it'll help make the sky pop out, the sky look bluer, or tone down how bright one spot may be while getting everything else normal. as for working with people, maybe get some family to pose for you. You could also just walk down town where it's busy (like a market area) and take pictures of people selling goods, or people looking at stuff to buy. In this photo, I let the guys do their thing and i just stayed out of their way. I walked around and while they trained, took photos of what I felt was interesting or showed something not everyone else sees. On most photo shoots I do, I can have up to 1000 photos or more. Some times it's the same photo of someone but maybe while i was taking it i moved just enough that it made 3 out of the 4 i took look odd while that 1 was the money maker. It's my belief that it's not the equipment that makes the photo, but you yourself. You are the one who's seeing something that makes you want to capture it in a photo. the equipment's just there to make it happen. so don't worry if you messed something up or someone tells you, "oh your using the wrong lens/camera/etc."
If you get bored, or feel like your skills need some work, watch some youtube videos. I personnel learn more from watching videos of others talk Β about what works for them or how they do something. I can then try it with what I do, and see if it works for me. If not, that's ok, I can just stick to what i know and continue on. I hope this helped you. Β

I agree with you in a lot of points. About take picture of family in a casual way... wel the only problem is that every time a do that they always said to erases the photo because they thing they don't look good. The consecuents of having more women than men in a family
