Amazing that this is all natural lighting, so often people over-light the scene but your work is very realistic, especially the composition and natural posing! Are you a photographer as well? The DOF is spot-on!

You are welcome! I have the silly "flash" disabled in render settings, heh, it takes me hours just to light my scene as I have to only use one light source, it is much harder to follow an HDRI-lit scene while only using one light than using flash!
What I don't like about Daz/iRay is the fact that if you use an HDRI image to light/showcase the scene, the ground/cast shadows are monochrome and does not take the coloring from the environment like the model, but the good thing is that Daz is continually working on it, I just hope nVidia gets it's shit together and finishes the iRay SDK for the GTX 1080 already!
And as far as photography goes, I have been studying and noting the lighting from many of the photographers here, and at renderosity, and it has made my renders much better! I am amazed that so many people use photography's techniques as Daz studio/poser/3dMAX, etc uses the exact real-word physics as light and the camera!

I think I see what you mean with the shadows on hdrs, I rarely get this issue because most of the time HDR's grounds are not visible in my scenes (I use ground props I mean. Mostly because DoF doesn't work well with HDR backgrounds, so when I use some, it's only for the far background, sky, landscape, etc). Iray is a big step into realism indeed, but still i'm not sure light behaves 100% like in real-life, into it, I mean lights don't behave exactly the same than in other physically-based renderers (Octane, Lux tec); They all have small differences. I'm often unhappy with the look of shadows in Iray (but this is probably because my lights aren't properly set heh .
Not sure if you have played with it, but whenever I need an additionnal source of light, I always use mesh lights (because of their nice shadows, compared to spots).

I like this... something about her face. She looks very comfortable with herself; maybe not so much of a troublemaker, but enjoying the antics of the others? (then again, I've been the fool before.) I think the DOF is slightly strong, but otherwise, very nice work.
...Β and if she's offering one of those to me, I would be happy to share it with her. (just as soon as they plug me into the Matrix. Lol.)
