I think I worked a good 10 hours or more on this total, and I think it was worth it. This is my favorite drawing.Sunday Silence.

May I do a slight observation? umm. Does the horses left eye seem slightly too high on its head. Just a tiny bit?

Yes, actually you're right. It would have worked if his head was cocked a bit, but by looking at his nose, you can tell it isn't... so yea it's a little too far up there.

Jessis-kad pretty much said most of what I wanted to say. I would have commented sooner but I'm still way behind on Deviations. ((All 8,000+ of them...that I'm thinking of just deleting since I can't keep up.)) Anyway, this is lovely & a very nice memorial for him. Is it photo referenced? Because if not, it makes it all the more awesome. I like the simple background too. You're really mastering digital painting with all these realistic portraits, kiddo.

Hey Azy, thanks for faving it and the comments. Yes it was photo referenced, but I deviated from the photo (in the original he had a halter, for one thing) so many things are just unique about it. It doesn't look all that much like the photo.
I've been working a lot harder on my realism lately than I used to, so that could explain the changes. But anyways, thank you very much for the compliments! 8D

Great job! This is so realistic-looking, it's unbelievable; you do wonders with the airbrush, and that's an understatement, I assure you! Especially love his mane, and the way there are little fly-aways between his ears. Either the wind has been playing with it or he's been running around that gorgeous field like a free-spirited maniac!
