Simple training image of Stark in her training at CandleWick! Again, I love her coloring SO MUCH! I'm not too happy with the rest of the image though... Oh well, maybe I'm just ready for spring to come and sick of the dreary backgrounds.

Stark is for sale. Her price is 250, but is negotiable!

Stark is such a sweet girl! From the moment she sees the young riding students chasing each other down at the entrance of the stables, she perks up her ears and presses her nose up against the cold bars of her stall to watch them as they sprint down the corridor past her, creating a brisk wind that sweeps the loose strands of her forelock past her golden brown eyes. She whinnies at them to come back and when they do, they bring carrots from the tack room refrigerator. The only way she manages to keep her trim figure is to work off those carrots in a few riding lessons!

Since she's arrived at CandleWick, she has primarily undergone pre-training. Pre-training is the term that is used by the trainers at CandleWick for horses that may be sold, before beginning show careers, or used as school horses. The idea behind it is to test the horse to make sure they are safe for all ages to be around and for most riders. The horse should be able to perform simple maneuvers and listen to the rider or handler before beginning any discipline specific training. Of course all horses are different and therefore have different temperaments, so the levels are flexible. In the case of Stark, though, she passed her pre-training with Ariel with flying colors and was soon promoted to school horse!

Stark is a quiet mare when she stands in the cross ties. She is partial to carrots, or any treat really, and loves it when her riders take the time to sweep a soft brush over her golden spotted coat. Her mane is long and thick, and when they play with her hair and braid it, she nearly falls asleep! She is such a sweetheart and takes care of everyone who gets on her back. Though spooking a little when she sees the random fox, she quickly calms down and gets back to work.

She is also a very high quality mare, too. Being a FionnBharr she is flexible and capable of quickly excelling in any direction of disciplines. Right now she is not seeing her true potential of being a star, but I don't think she minds too much. Right now, she is just enjoying all the attention she is receiving.

In this lesson, she was part of a group with the Miles' family kids and a few other children in the CandleWick community. They were training over ground poles (at the walk of course - gotta start with the basics). She is ridden by Jenny Chao who shows lots of promise for down the road, if she ever figures out how to hold the reins that is!! She is a sweet girl and the two of them have made an awesome team thus far! They even have matching braids! At any rate, any happy home would be a good match for Stark.
