let me explain it this way.
there are the four basic elements.
Water
Fire
Earth
Air
these elements help controle all forms of life, keeping balance, ect ect.
then there are the four superior elements.
Light
Darkness
Nothing
Silver
Light and darkness controle the world of human spirits. making sure theres a balance of both good and evil. Nothingess represents well ... Nothing, it is basickly an element that cant overpower, or be weak agenst any other element.
Silver is the element that represents chaos.
you remember using sora and rikus co-op move right?
in the end they toss their keyblades into the air, soras surounded by light, rikus surounded by darkness.
when their elements clashed they created the element of Silver. Its an element that can only be created when the two meet, but at the same time it's an element all its own.
because its a combination of two apposing elements, its very unstable. But at the same time if used correctly, it can also be very powerfull.
