Description Haven't posted my story segments in a while, because I caught up to them.

Ahead lies another Earth-like planet in the Solar System. But what world could this possibly be? It's the result of many decades of terraforming Mars. What used to be the rust-colored planet, the globe that was being explored by the Curiosity and Perserverance rovers, is now another blue marble. The race zips between two spectator stands that orbit Mars, before pulling up in the atmosphere and flying down the Mariner Seaway, filling the Valles Marinaris. The Hawking is cut off by a racer advertising Mountain Dew, with Taylor trying to prevent himself from being killed in a violent, fiery wreck resulting from impact on the cliff face towering above the ocean. He shouts, "Oh, no you don't!!" George swoops in and overtakes Taylor, passing the Mountain Dew craft. Taylor orders the AI on the Hawking to play "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins, with the ships reaching the end of the seaway to emerge on the Tharsis Plateau. Circling around one of the extinct volcanoes, Pavonis Mons, rises majestically above the surrounding Tharsis Region. Now, it is dawn here, so the snowcapped peak of this huge mountain glows orange in the morning light. If it were Taylor's time, the dust in Mars' atmosphere would scatter the blue light from the Sun, giving an azure tint to the ruddy surface. Now, since terraformation, sunlight filters red light from its Earth-like atmosphere, giving sunrise and sunset a redder appearance. Sometime later, Taylor ends up in third place as the race crosses the northern Boreal Ocean, he comments, "Well, we'll need a well-deserved break when we get to Andromeda!" Once in Martian orbit, the group of 8 ships and the Hawking active their warp rings as their bows point at the distant disk of Andromeda, the huge spiral spiral galaxy, and zip off.

In the span of several seconds, operating at high warp, the spacecraft drop out of warp in the Andromeda Galaxy. Mars now lies two and a half million light years behind Taylor. The planet that greets the Solar System inhabitants is a binary ice world with another, brighter icy body, and as the race draws toward the ruddier surface of the initial planet, Taylor says to himself, "How did I get into this situation? Wow!" The craft zip across the night side of the planet, kicking up snow off the surface as it glints in the light of its moon. Taylor concentrates on not smacking into a hillside, as the headlights illuminate the ground right in front. This truly is perilous, as any slight mis step could end in complete disaster. He eventually guides the Hawking into second place behind the number 7 spacecraft advertising Doritos, flown by a cyborg human, an actual one, not what Taylor's mom jokes him out to be. As they pull up from the planet's surface, Taylor is also cautiously avoiding the other ships, so another competitive jerk doesn't try to kill him. TO BE CONTINUED...
