Well don't I feel nostalgic? Haven't done anything Kaiju related for SUCH a long time, and it feels SO good to do it again!For this one I tried to be more expressive than my usual works, and use it a lot more squash and stretch, specifically taking notes from one of my fave comic artists of all time, Ryan Ottley.

I think monster movies should focus more on the monster(s) and less on everyone once.
I know it sounds odd since most kaiju are giant animals but they always get less screen time.
I'd rather make the monster(s) center-stage but not humanize them. Having a protagonist with an animal's outlook on things seems more interesting.
The whole humans suck theme is over-used at this point, so said kaiju should have one of these outlooks on humanity:
- tiny animals that live in thin and small hills (aka houses and skyscrapers)
- prey species to om-nom when in large crowds, though creatures that big live off eat radiation and whale pods

This is sooo much better than this super boring Godzilla movie from 2014. Never regretted more to watch a movie in the cinema.
Let them be real monsters fighting, damnit!
