May I ask what kind of zoom lens you are using? Looking to buy one for my upcoming holiday, but zoom lenses are a real mystery to me so far (As I just bought my first DSLR)

And now to your question: I actually used a fixed angle lens: AF-S Nikkor 300 mm/f4. Which is much better than the 70-300 mm/f4-F5.6 zoom Nikkor that I also use frequently. Anyway, I don't know whether that helps you. What camera are you using?

Yeah, he doesn't look amused here. I spent more than an hour with him on that Sunday and luckily, he just kept posing in the sun for the whole time.
