Is there any specific program that you can recommend? I unfortunately have no experience with animating, but I would love to work myself into it.

eh, you can always try getting macromedia flash8, its kinda a dead program out there on the internet that people have already made compiled exe versions of the software where you don't need to install

Oh wow. Derp. I never thought of animating each part of the body in parts. I always do arms and legs and heads and everything together at the same time. It makes thing a lot easier to handle each part of the body once one part is right. Didn't think about keyframes either hmm...this whole thing is just awesome. DD well deserved!

do them in layers too, to make editing of your body parts easier than having everything in one layer. you are, not doing the animation on paper after all. make use of the layers given

I wrote an adolescent development essay likening a teen to the Garchomp (which meant research). None were as entertaining as this. In any case, lovely work. It's hard to find someone who provides the brilliant graphics in motion and steps to get there in a simple, cohesive manner. Brava.
