Giant AJ is best AJ. This is hilarious. Ponies are funny when they are huge. Well until a certain size. Its not cute and fun when they are to big. But this is just fine. Make something whit Applebloom and AJ horse.

I am not an expert on physic, so I don't exacly know how much size affect speed. I mean, longer legs means that steps are longer, but they also takes longer to take. I know that the larger cannon and heavier caliber of bullet, the futher you can shot (battleships = best altilery), but in terms of speed, I dunno if larger bullet can be shot faster than a small one, or do it can just travel much longer, as result, travel futher ( it depends more on energy used to shot it and weight of the bullet itself aside with air resistance, sniper rifle bullet hit target nearly instantly, tank bullet shot futher, but takes longer to hit).
Long story short, I dunno if Applejack being larger means she's faster, or if she could race the trian even at her normal size (we saw that earth ponies in the show pulled the train, and Pinkie could rival Dash's flying speed, so yea).
If somoene here is more experienced with physic, please explain how size affect speed.

The world is never ready for giant horses. Especially when there's one named Applejack.
ATTACK OF THE GIANT APPLE HORSE
Coming next century to a theater near you.
Anyway, once again, great job on the drawing, NC!
P.S.: BerryPAWNCH should definitely make a fake movie poster featuring a giant Applejack. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Yes, Applejack, that is probably all it's got. Steam-powered trains aren't known for racing. I'm pretty sure the conductor is just trying to get to the next stop with his cargo/passengers on schedule, and doesn't know why there's a giant apple farmer sprinting just ahead of him.

Steam trains are stronger then you think. Im A train expert. in 1903 there where already steam trains that could go 160 km/h
π: 0 β©: 1
SFaccountant In reply to MarcusTheDeer [2015-09-12 21:56:20 +0000 UTC]
Don't they need that power specifically to haul tons of cargo, though? I would think that the engineering technology at the time would have made such speeds very dangerous. Were there really steam-powered trains made to carry passengers and cargo at 100 km/h?

MarcusTheDeer In reply to SFaccountant [2015-09-13 11:01:09 +0000 UTC]
They had an salution for that. Wider gauge track. Normal Gauge is 1435 mm. But there also where wider ones. like 1600 mm.
The fastest steam engines went 203 Km/h and it was an normal gauge steam engine. it was used for passanger transport read abou it here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LNER_Claβ¦
The wheels of this machine are big. But there where also heavy fright trains whit just wheels over 1700 mm high. But they could reach a speed of 128 Km/h
Im talking about the Union pacific 4-8-8-4 Big Boy. WhitΒ his 16 driving wheels of just 1727 mm high. and total weight of 567,000Β kg ( 567 ton ) it was the fastest Articulated locomotive locomotive of his size. Whit a total length of 40,47 meter.
