Description Yeah well, just practicing with my tablet again for inking. Because the more you do something, the more you get efficient at it~

Raah I'm going back to school tomorrow q_q

Removed the arm pockets, as said, shortened the PRR's antenna, changed the bayonet (From M7 to the newer one (Dunno its name ), as well as adding more details that otherwise, won't fit on the paper version.

other than the pistol grip on the C7 this is very well drawn (certainly better than anything i can do!).

Is that a M16A4? If not, what rifle is it?

I failed the TRI-AD mount in this one, along with the wonky pistol grip lol

Well, being the first image of the C7 I've seen. I wouldn't know. Is it the standard rifle of the Canadian military?

Didn't we had a short discussion about it back then?

And yes, it is.

I think so. I believe you made a request.

Huh, not exactly, you were just curious about the service rifle of the CF lol

Right, sorry I get confused as to requests and stuff.

Great job and drawing of the CADPAT.

Only little poke I just notice now with the colour, the corporal chevrons are together ([link] ). The Canada spot is replaced by Regiment name for infantry, Canada is default label air force and naval.
And for future drawings of the C7A2, it's tip. It has the slip ring for the sling, a 2 piece tooth pica-tan rail and the T clip for the bayonet base to attach too. As you can see easier in this picture: [link]

A majority of the people i work with wear cadpat with faded almost white elbows and knees lol. It blends but not in a city centre. Well done

Yeah, it's meant for the field anyways. XD

That bayonet is called the M9.

Sounds ironic, but some people would confuse it with the M9 pistol...

NDTwoFives In reply to shooter2170 [2013-01-02 23:06:34 +0000 UTC]

Isn't the M9 bayonet the US issued one?
The CF are issuing the Bayonet 2000 (Ah interwebs, how much do i love you)

Ok then.

P.S: About the weapons for Sig? It'll be her SG550 with a SIG Sauer assault rifle 30-round magazine slung over her back, and her sidearms will be SIG P226s in both her left and right hands...

Her uniform will be completely dark blue, just like the color of the baseball caps used by Seishou Academy.

As for it's details?

Long-sleeved dark blue shirt, with dark blue-pants tucked into black tactical boots, with combat armour on certain areas.

For the armour? Make it a dark grey combat helmet with the Seishou Academy insignia on it, then a tactical assault bullet-proof vest, with also elbow pads and knee pads as part of the armour...

Don't forget the holsters for her P226s which go on the left and right sides of her duty belt...

Another good looking work. Love how you work the camos out. A

Just as a suggestion, you could try make the shadows a bit darker and add a layer with some light coloration. If you notice objects around you, the surface that reflect the most light tend to get whiter with a slight hint of the color of the color source. Most of the time light should be white (Since that's after all the color of pure light as we get it from the Sun). You could also add some (very) light yellow or go all the way to red for different times of the day.

Not that this should be done when there's an active source of light. If it's like Cloudy then you can skip that effect since Light tends to come from everywhere but less powerful.

Just a suggestion. I'm looking forward to more of your stuff.

NDTwoFives In reply to Panzerfire [2013-01-02 21:44:42 +0000 UTC]

Thanks man.
Indeed, sometimes I just work with a imaginary light source. But at the same time, I tend to go heavy with the watercolors, which seems to "wash" away the darker shades sometimes.
Yeah, I think I've tried to make a light coloration once, to simulate the effects of a MG muzzle flash on the operator, gotta do it more often and varying the time of the day as well.

See if you can experiment in in future drawings. Even if it's just a little.

Yeah, mostly in digital I suppose, since I can't render much in B&W with a stump alone.

damn cadpat is always fading.

NDTwoFives In reply to Afire236 [2013-01-02 20:39:08 +0000 UTC]

It's dirt patches actually
Heard that they usually fade after a year of use, the newer ICU's supposed to fix this issue. But it seems that most members of the CF find that faded uniforms blend better than the freshly made ones.
