The dude shoulda take a low-visibility flag insignia. red/white on green sticks out like a sore thumb.

Usually the red and white flags are used when you are in garrison. If your in the field you use the green and black ones.

Ah yep, I usually put the low-vis one one drawings where troops are deployed. Always end up putting the regular patch somehow lol

good job on the CANPAT,I also like the angle of M4. By the way, what kind of sight is that?

oh, I see. Cause that sight looked familiar, I think I saw a variation on the M240.

you should try adding the shoulder pieces to the frag vest. As well if making arid CADPAT you can try the bicep pieces

Good idea, have any reference for the bicep pieces? Can't find a good one from the internet. :/

BTW, for future refference, Canadian soldiers wearing body armour are trained to present our chest to the enemy. (That's where the ceramic/metal plate is in the frag vest). Standing at an angle like that exposes our sides (that have no hard armour) and turns the bullet-stopping plate away from the enemy.

I think that a camouflage and flag swap would have made him looking like one. X]

Hmm, maybe a checkpoint roadblock or something?
They stopped a car...so he's cautious.

Yeah, sounds nice.
I'll give a try at "painting" it behind the lineart. :0

I've been wanting to ask since you posted this in it's sketch form; Did you get a reference for the pose or did you just draw it from mind?
Because that's pretty sweet!

Took the pose from this: [link]
At first it was meant as a quick doodle to see if I can draw this angle, but I ended trying slightly different eyes as well.
