Description
Canadian Peacekeeper, circa 1960s~70s or later. Mixed up some gear for fun. Had some choices like M1 vs PASGT or C7A1 vs C1A1.Mah boi! This inked drawing is what all true artists strive for!
Anyways, it seems that inked drawings are less messy to color than pencil sketches, which means that my trusty pilot fineliner (Though it dried out a long time ago) comes back to the arsenal.

It's all done by hand, I hate using preset textures because it doesn't mix well with the overall cartoon feel of my drawings.

Ah, back when we used to be peacekeepers. If only we did it more. Maybe when we recover from Afghanistan... certainly made me feel like our military was more productive then though

Yeah, Canada is renowned for its peacekeepers worldwide, now we are moving in a combat oriented direction to be on par with NATO and its allies~
Ah well, those were the days where the older US M1 helmet was still issued, the FAL has been decommissioned a long time ago. xD

Yes, it is a FN FAL, but this one is the Canadian derivative known as the C1A1 which is in turn, is based off the British L1A1.
