A DBP-95 round will go through his IOTV as if the vest were made of paper.

Ok so you're trying to say, that a 5.8x42 round, can rip through 9mm flak ballistic vest, on top of which is covered by a 7.62 ball protection Sapi plate.Β

The body armorΒ shown in the drawing is most likely has an NIJ ballistic protection rating of Level III (Maybe an IOTV?). You need a Level IV such as the CIRAS to stop an armor piercing round at 200 meters, and a point blank shot will still have a chance of penetrating. Plus, the low recoil and flat trajectory of the bullet guarantees multiple hits on a target.Β

would still be stopped possibly, only thing that can penetrate 7.62 sapi's are 7.62 Armor Piercing, not this 5.8 round you suggest. Β As for multiple hits, surely it's not hitting in the exact same spot twice therefore it's not likely it will go through the previous holeΒ

You are reffering to the NIJ Level IV. The Level IV is made to stop armor-piercing rounds such as the MK-262, M995 or the .30-06 Springfield M2, but the Level III only stops standard rifle rounds such as the SS109, M80 Ball or the 7N6. The standard 5.8 is armor-piercing.

Mhmm whatever you say. Could you please referance some video or photos or events to back this claim of the 5.8?

Thinking about it, it may go through the 9mm one, since that one's a pistol caliber, but the SAPI plate will stop it for sure!

Well the portion that the 9mil covers isn't the vital areas, theres a part though were it goes right below the sapi for xtra protection'Β

Ah well, the A4's stock is too short here and his loadout is too light for your usual Marine grunt XD
Thanks nontheless

Thank you, painting camo patterns is much more fun than just slipping a image taken from the interwebs under your line art lol
