What I want more of in season 3 (beside mckay/weir arguing and michael...) is more stuff about the planet Atlantis is on, they mostly just stay indoors, but the don't really associate the characters with the city as much... I think. granted a shot like this would probably take some special effects... but yeah, becuase they would, SOoo do this on Atlantis. I'm sure John would get Teyla and Ronon to learn how to play. The other two who are playing are Cadman and Lorne, becuase they seem sporty enough to want to join. In the back is Zelenka with his "football" and I thought hockey would be another one they'd love to play on the landing pier, but Rodney doesn't seem like he'd want to step outdoors more than he has to, so it's the Canadian Technician who's ready with the blades and stick, hehe.... yeah... this was fun to do, even tho in inking it I lost a lot of details on the characters. (I actually had trouble finding a model for John's football pose, so sorry if I got it wrong

Ha, this is awesome. The show so needed more downtime spent outside. If you're surrounded by ocean you should spend some time in the sun.

They really should show more of Atlantis to make it interesting. I mean, the place is supposed to be a great city the size of Manhattan, right? Manhattan isn't just corridors and medical rooms; there should be parks, movie theaters, fun rides, gigantic swimming pools and real sport fields, and so much more! Where are the shopping centers? Beauty salons? Factories? I know there isn't enough people to run all these things but they had to have existed!

Haha the team really needs to get out more ^^ The whole city, really...being in a city surrounded by ocean you'd think we'd have seen them swimming/playing water sports sometime in the past three years...and I agree the city looks great! I should really try my hand at Atlantis sometime, but I haven't had much time to draw...

Haha, brings the Winter Carnival in Quebec to mind...there're always hordes of crazy people in swimsuits somewhere diving into lakes with bits of ice floating around...although I don't think the Atlantis area is that cold, rotfl.

As for special effects... Apparently they pay thousands of dollars just for each shot of the city. (I watch commentary! ^^)

Yeah, the details are kinda lost on them, mainly in the faces, but I really like the idea. The poses are nice, especially with the 3 foreground characters. Sheppard's football pose looks good, and Teyla's in a whole alert, ready-for-action, seriously, kinda pose. And then Ronon is in his, "I look really calm and rigid now, but once things really start I'm gonna kick butt" pose. I think you did a good job of conveying their personalities with those poses. Cadman and Lorne's are a little more generic and unnatural. I like Radek's pose a lot...Him holding the soccer ball...He looks all outcast and "...o-oh. that football. .__."

thanks, yeah, I have a problem with color and detail being tradeoffs for me, I can't have both, lol. I guess if I colored it on the computer.... but I prefer color pencil
