Thanks, I'm working on a few birds in oil colours at the moment, perhaps I'll have a go at reproducing this one, although it would be challenging, it would like great if I could pull it off!

I imagine that these flowers are easier to do with coloured pencils, but it might be very nice in painting too!

Than you very much, the purples were difficult to reproduce that almost metallic shine, pleased you like them

Thanks, I think you're right, it probably is a Costa's Hummingbird. I guess I'm better at drawing, than bird spotting. If anybody can confirm for definate, I will have to change the title, doh!

hehe but having that much artistic talent is awesome :3 I love the silktree flowers, like how you used them in composition and colors and stuff :3

Thanks a lot, I really enjoy drawing birds and hope to post a few more next week, so keep your eyes peeled! I've got a to prepare an entry for an exhibition, then I'm  looking to do some birds of prey. I took a few fabulous pics of an owl recently which would be awesum, if I can pull it off.
