Update 28-8:
phew.
i'd say this is really close to completion already, just a few minor parts that require more shadow left, the mask, the shoulder, etc etc... u'll see some light pencil marks on the places that need more shaodws. cheers... i really like the red one...!!

the shading for this one killed many cells in my hand... the strain... i feel like my knuckles are exploding...

Update 26-8:
ah! i broke the do-only-in-school rule!! cos there's no school today so well... did part of the hand, like i said, no armour, so it'll be exposed flesh!!

Update 25-8:
if ur wondering what happened in the past 2 days, the answer is that i only work on this in school, weekends = no school = no updates. Not much added today, it's not a long day.... if u notice some blue lines in there, that's cos i used an ultra-marine pen for some lines. in fact, quite a number of my inks are actually blue to greyscale scans.

just a little more today... u should notice by now, as i add to this pic, more previously non-existing ideas are added... the 01 is one of the more obvious examples...

Update 21-8:
added more stuff today as usual, decided to scan and resize it for better viewing on screen... completed the disaaster chain-mail... gonna start on the hand soon, which means it'll be done pretty soon cos the hand really doesn't have much detail with armour off...

Update 20-8:
did the chain mail around the neck today. yes, that disastrous mess there is chain mail. can't see shit? i know. i got lost quite a few times while drawing that... it's ab-FUCKING-solutely annoying to draw chainmail, esp when i'm doing it link by link.
the flow of it is difficult to do too. the fact that the area covered by it is around 2 x 4 cm doesn't make it any better...

spent `bout 1 hour doing what little additions to the pic today. did a chain mail design for some parts of it, that will kill me eventually...

exploiting, making full use of, whatever, og the new DA devwatch system which notifies watcers of edits to a pic, i decided to upload this half done piece i'm working on now...

this is what a shadow lurker would look like with most of the armour scrapped off.
this piece also shows how i do most of my pieces. a really messy rough pencil outline, and then inks.

the first time i used a micron. it's a good pen. great for details. but the finest micron isn't fine enough... bloody hell... my recent works tell me 2 things, i need to draw on bigger pieces of paper and i need a bigger scanner.

it annoys the crap outta me when shading small tiny areas and there just isn't enough space to make the shading good, as in real gradients and not lines...

due tothe nature of how i draw, the piece most often end up very different from the initial concept of the piece.
