Description
I carved this out of a solid piece of bone using a rotary tool. I get the bone from the butcher and boil it, process it and clean it. Then I decide upon a Design and start carving. Trust me it's acually very clean.The funny thing is this piece was a gift to a friend f mine and it took me 3 weeks to complete. So I met her once it was finished all the while thinking if it would fit her hair or would it be too large an slip out. But it turns out she cut her hair and it was so short it didnt fit anywhere on her head.

It takes quite a bit of time. This piece took about three weeks. Unfortunately I never saw it in use but it was still fun to carve.
I wanted to give more detail to it but unfortunately the tips I had at the time were not fine enough for detail work.

I know what you mean....I live in the Northern US And its just too cold to go outside and cut bone in the wintertime....I go through withdrawls though so I do it anyway.....Just cut one small piece then go warm up cut another LOL Takes forever butwhat can I sam Im addict LOL Nice job on this hair piece....
If you want to find a good deal on small diamond bits for doing detail work let me know I order mine online and they are ten times cheaper than getting them in the store So far I have been very happy with the quality.
