Yes, it's quite different compared to Valentine's day (and I must say I prefer Friendship day!). 

Of course a commercial way has came to Finland little by little (chocolate, teddy bears, naughty underwear things, etc...) but I think most people still remember their friends by a traditional way, like sending cards via mail.
