Description
Alchemy is a program that makes random marks/paint strokes depending on how fast you move your tablet pen or YOUR VOICE or even music. Once you have a crazy pattern it's up to you as the artist to make creative pictures out of what you see. I use it to warm up for commissions and concept work. It's actually an art program called Alchemy, it's made to make random images that inspire or just are out there that no one has seen before. Just google it and try it, it's free! Nice to heard from you btw!!!

Yeah definitely we should talk more :3 And I haven't used it more than a few times too. I see people doing crazy art with it though but I go from trying 3d to painting and I can never get one down haha.

The assignment was just "use Alchemy to make 2 pictures".
I hated it because the program didn't like me. It loves to be random and create brand new things, but everytime I sat down with something in mind, I felt like I was fighting with the program to get it out. It didn't want me to use my ideas, it wanted to keep making it's own.
It insulted me. As an artist, I'm driven by my own ideas. If I don't have an idea, I don't splatter ink, or spill beans, or do anything like that. I go out and experience life some more until something inspires me. Something which lets you pretend you're being creative while just being random for the sake of being random seems super masturbatory to me, and I hated it.
(Not to say you liking it makes you some sort of selfish shut in. I just think that if you don't have anything to art, there's more worthwhile ways to become inspired to art.)
