"Fair and balanced" being Fox speak for "Bill O'Reilly is going to yell at you constantly if you disagree with us".

Not entirely. Though lately I've been catching them doing segments about how dishonest and biased the media is. Lol.

Starlow-FTW [2012-02-28 03:35:59 +0000 UTC]

I have to agree sort of, but the reason I watch them is because they're better than MSNBC. FOX is the lesser of two evils.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

RigidSlut In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-04-01 17:29:35 +0000 UTC]

I'd disagree on FOX News being the lesser of two evils, FOX News criticized video games and said that they make you rape people and called some of the games eco-campaigns (Flower for example) like what they did with The Muppets.

I think CNN is the lesser of two evils.

Starlow-FTW In reply to RigidSlut [2012-04-01 18:16:15 +0000 UTC]

You're committing a strawman fallacy. FOX said that there is a correlation between violent video games and violent behavior. That's not an opinion; that's a fact.

ProcrastinatingStill In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-12-25 15:57:56 +0000 UTC]

Wrong. There is plenty of evidence that violent video games and violent behavior are NOT correlated.

Haha I dunno, they're both pretty bad but I would rate FOX as the greater of the two personally. But hey to each their own I guess, haha.

I used to respect MSNBC a little, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

No, actually, they were caught editing Barack Obama's speeches to take out his stuttering and they weren't even sorry. I say screw them both; I turn to talk radio for political news, CNN for economic news, and anywhere for other news.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Nekromanda In reply to Starlow-FTW [2012-02-28 03:50:51 +0000 UTC]

Really? I didn't know that. But I don't know, cutting out his stuttering seems like more of a 'let's save some time' move, but I can definitely see how it could also be meant otherwise.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Starlow-FTW In reply to Nekromanda [2012-02-28 03:53:34 +0000 UTC]

Well, it was when Obama wasn't in front of his teleprompter. He stuttered for about 2-3 minutes. I think they wanted to hide it so that Obama didn't seem like a fool. They "leave out" so much stuff, and FOX news, by comparison, "adds" quite a bit.
