Entry for the Christmas 2017 contest on Paigeeworld. These are their characters, Star(right) and Ivory(left). Tried to swerve from the fun and vibrant depictions of Christmas and went for something more tranquil.Related content

hmm I don't quite know how to describe the exact feeling I was going for with this piece, but I did mean to have a touch of melancholy in it, so im glad that it got across : D.

Haaaaa Happy new year!! Things has been slow during 2017,
at least until I got hook up on dA xD that's when I started drawing seriously~ hahaha

ehhhhhh its not sad! Im just new to this platform so i dont have very many connections on here yet aha. Most of my art friends are on a different platform 
aww 2017 was a pretty good year for me. I've come to make art more frequently and improved a bunch, or not that much i dunno. I also expanded my reach and started posting on all these social media that ive never invested time into before, which is a big step up in my opinion. I've had to let go of a few friends, but I've also gained a few. Overall, 2017 was a year full of changes.
2018 I want to learn more and grow more as an artist. Meet more amazing people and be able to work on more amazing projects. I hope your goals can be met for this year as well

My main platform right now is Paigeeworld. It came out in 2013 so its not as well-known as dA, but its where my art journey started, so I'm very much indebted to them : ). I am friends with a few of the moderators on there as well : D
Right now, I have a bit of time off from being a student, which lets me be more free, but thats gonna end in a few days ;; So I'm trying to fit in as much time as I can to paint and enjoy myself : D
Its not really that we stopped being friends, its just that there isn't opportunity to really talk anymore, you feel? Like one of my friends started 2 long-term projects a few months ago, a comic and a game, so he's always busy. Thank you
Well its not an expectation, but only something i hope will happen. In all seriousness, I doubt that anything big will happen in 2018, but if it did happen, that would be seriously wicked.

Hmm. Not really. PW is more of like an artist instagram, with a simple like and comment option for each post.
Currently, the main distinguishing features about it are the shoutout and chat functions.
It's a site made specifically for more young or beginning artists, so it was designed to be extremely easy to use; a lot of the complex features that dA has doesnt exist on there.
I think in a promo video they made once, they said that their key demographic were girls ages 13-23 haha. Not exactly a place where you'd find many refined professionals, but its certainly a great starting line for people too intimidated by substantially larger platforms.

O man, does that ring true. Although, the payoff is definitely there, so sometimes, its really worth it to just seclude yourself from the world and create amazing stuff.
Haha, well if something like that does happen, I just hope that its something positive and wont drag me down.
That's awesome! I totally know what you mean. That right there is the dream of every artist: to live off of their art. One day, I hope to get good enough to be able to sell my own art an make a career off of it, but for now, I gotta just work harder and practice and get to a higher level. Lets do our best out there! : D

e.e i do have one speedpaint of a piece I've done before, although I didn't really know how to work the recording and somehow managed to corrupt parts of the vid.
Maybe one day, when I'm confident enough, I'll try and do some more, but for now, I wont show anything except the final product : DDD

I actually used OBS, but I had no idea how to use it the first time so I goofed up ;;. Next time I'll do more research.
I just wish the day where my stuff can match pro lvl art would come soon. I still got much room for improvement. But Imma try my best
