The world is her stage and her life the play. Taeyeon always seems to be putting on a show - she's so aware of everybody around her. She wants her life to be like a movie - which is why she tends to copy actions from manga and movies that she's watched or read. Though she seems to have a staggering amount of self-confidence, to the point of almost being narcissistic, there lies a fear of rejection deep within that has her flipping between emotions in a snap. Truly, Taeyeon is a surprisingly sensitive girl. While she might seem like an impulsive person doing whatever she wants, the one thing she's scared to do is to be completely honest with her feelings. To tell somebody she's scared, or sad, or lonely. Unfortunately, just because she can't say those things doesn't mean she isn't affected by them. Is this what they call... tsundere?

IMPULSIVE.
Tae-Yeon is easily swayed by her moods, following her instinct with blind faith. If she sees something she wants, she gets it. If she wants to talk to somebody, she talks to them. There's never much of a plan behind her actions, and even when there are... most people would hesitate to follow through the way she does.

BOLD.
She stands out in a crowd with her vibrant energy. If Tae-Yeon is present, you'll surely know it, because she's bouncing around with uncontrollable energy, talking to anybody and everybody. Tae-Yeon spent her early years in an orphanage after being abandoned by her mother, kept a secret from her blood family. Even as a kid, she stood out. She always played with the younger ones, talking to them and reading them stories. Being adopted was extremely rare, but sometimes… sometimes people got lucky. Tae-Yeon wasn’t one of the lucky ones and ended up leaving the system when she turned seventeen. As if the stigma of being ‘unwanted’ and an ‘orphan’ wasn’t enough, she wasn’t all too great at the education department either.

This is where Tae-Yeon’s desperate need for individuality comes from – all her life she felt like an outsider for things out of her control, so she took matters into her own hands and stands out on her own terms. Maybe that’s why she admires K-Pop idols so much? They stood out and were admired for it! She got in trouble a lot with the school she entered, barely passing, and was generally treated like scum by the ‘normal’ people. She ended up spending so much time at the theatre, she got a job there.

That’s where her talent with sewing and prop creation shined. She was always eager to work overtime, sometimes creating costumes that weren’t part of the next production. Sure, she wasn’t an actress on the stage, but she enjoyed working with the wardrobe. Whenever there was free time and Tae-Yeon wasn’t glued to the sewing machine, she bonded with the stagehands and actors, building her own little family in the theatre group. They attended her graduation from high school and all pooled together to help her afford the down payment on a little apartment of her own. She cried so hard.

Tae-Yeon loves working with the theatre – they often give her free fabric for her cosplay plans, and they’re pretty much all she has… but when she saw the ad for RFA (and the promoted high pay), she had to take the job offer! She hesitated while filling out the application because she felt so… unqualified. But when she came in for the interview, she threw on her brightest smile, showed off some of her work, and... got the job? She could barely believe it and had to be told to get off the ground and stop thanking Areum so much.
