The cloud didn't give him a hi-five.... just left him hanging there... Life just leaves you hanging with that question. [gasp]

Ha! Now I can't read the comic as being anything other than this poor man desperate for a high-five from the heavens.

I like how you've placed the speech bubbles.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF... LIFE.

Thanks! However, now that I look back over it, I can't help but read it in Captain. Kirk's...VOICE.

I have to ask. How much time do you put into one of these daily comics?

It varies. Anywhere from an hour to four/five hours.

That's a lot of work. Is the time gap between one hour and four/five just a matter of inspiration or do you sometimes get carried away?
Keeping a daily comic usually is secondary, how does this affect your other work?
Thank you for answering my questions.

The ones I get done in an hour are usually the days when I can't help but have to get the comic out the door quickly, due to other things (such as life).

As as for the ones that take longer, yeah, I'm factoring in time spent thumbnailing ideas, penciling, inking, scanning, and colouring. It also doesn't help that I can be *very* slow at getting drawing done, due to a number of factors.

I've found that the one major thing that's been slowing me down of late is that --ever since I got my hands on a Cintiq-- I've been spending *much* longer on the colours. What used to take me a half hour to an hour to do has stretched to just under two hours.

Also, while the plan with my daily comic was for it to be a secondary thing, it very quickly became a primary thing, taking precedence over everything else. I have a bad habit where, if I get into doing something --especially on a daily basis-- I HAVE to get it done, sometimes to the detriment of other things. I have yet to miss a single day of my comic, but there are times when I feel like the comic controls me, rather than vice-versa.

Weird, I know.

Not that weird, at the moment I'm incapable of doing something regularly.
I have this urge to make comics but hesitation is not even my middle name - it's what my mother always called me.
And I can't seem to deal with the frustration of not being able to draw what I imagine, while at the same time, I'm actually happy that I did something.
Anyway, your daily comic is an inspiration.
