The color tone is good. I'm a fan of wheat photographs, so I was immediately drawn to this one. The angle of the head of the wheat is wonderful. Detail is good as well. I like the subtle greens in the head as well.
I don't think the focus is appropriate for this angle. Perhaps more focus should have been set on the kernals instead of the base of the long wispy parts? I also would have liked to see more stem, as the picture is pretty blunt and short.
Overall, a good picture. It's very inviting and it's well done.

I've seen this a lot and I think I've figured out what is going on. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Norwegian, Danish and German word for "grain" is "korn". What we in North America call corn, I think you would call mais.
I areas that the Spanish controlled, I think the most common name was "maiz". But in North American there were so many different tribes with different terms for it, the english settlers just called it "indian corn". Which we have since shortened to corn.
I know that was way more information than you wanted, but I'm just very pleased that I've figured out a little mystery.
