He is so SO tragic.Β Who'd have thought for a 'kids' book character?Β XDΒ I hope he'll get a chance at redemption in the books cause we were led up to it so much (then book 4 ...I don't know what the hell happened , it was like suddenly the first three books for Pitch were disregardedΒ :TΒ Loved the Sandy parts though).Β I'll wait and see.Β I wrote a redemption fic (also Sandy and him as a ship that stems back to Kozmotis era) for post-movie events so least I got that in a personal headcanon.Β

Its one thing to know a villain is, under all his malice and wicked ways, a lonely and unhappy soul ( we've all been there), but another to know that said villain was a good person once upon a time. We've known people like that, and telling yourselves "It won't happen to us" is a dangerous lie.

Thank you for your lovely comment! I agree whole heartily with you, I tend to be more interested in a story's villain than the hero if designed in the right way like Pitch is. To me villains such as Pitch represent a great deal of what life really is alot of the time. You can try your absolute hardest, be a good and profoundly kind person but that doesn't mean you will will or be spared any of life's many brutal pains and be brutalized yourself. In fact much of the time the best of people suffer the most and are sought out by others to attack the most. Pitch was just a hero that didn't catch a break and had no light at the end of the tunnel like Jack had when he became a Guardian.

I don't know if you know that Pitch was not *chosen*, so I don't know if you did it on purpose or not but to me the second panel
with the end of the sentece makes it all the more sarcastic and sad...!

The whole 'chosen' theme was a play on the quote from the movie in a sarcastic and sad way. His story to me seems opposites to that of the Guardians, he was a hero made into a villain while the Guardians were made into heroes they were all someone else before their fates were chosen.
