My scanner did a horrible job portraying this... >.<Besides that...this is probably one of the better pieces I can say I've done. (sad isn't it?) This is actually my first attempt with markers (though I used some other media as well) in a couple of years; so I am proud of it no matter what else I say.
She's just some random fairy-related type being that I thought up...mostly because I wanted to do her wings-things! 
The border is actually one that my friend Korva-chan drew on top of one of my writing journals that I scanned and manipulated in photoshop. I didn't hardly do any editations on the girl though...which is a first for me. ^^

wow those crystal look great in their wing shapes.
the pose gives the effect of the character being in mid air or flying which is interesting because yu'd think nobody would be able to fly with crytstals on their back like wngs!
...hmm it looks as though those crystals are bursting out of her back!
