Description
"I would love to meet you all!... at least, as I am now"
Basic Information
Name: Atlas Kevan Corcrain
Age: 17
Height: 5'7
Species: Spiritus Feretrum || Spirit Casket
Species Description: Spiritus Feretrum's, or Fere's as it's commonly cut down to, are elven like creatures who are born to house a spirit of a demon. It varies from person to person and what kind of demon they have. For some, they gain their demon on their 18th birthday. For others, a ritual must be conducted to summon the demon and offer their bodies as a vessel. It has been speculated that this is a form of possession. In most cases, it certainly is but this is all voluntary. Once the demon has picked their vessel, they can change their form in any way they choose or shape it in a way that fits their abilities. If the demon's original form is that of a goat then the vessel will gain goat like features, or if they had wings or the ability to fly, then they will gain the features of a bird. However, all attempts aren't successful. There have been multiple cases where the Fere and the demon can't coexist and the body starts to deform and become something of a beast. When this happens, if they aren't fast enough to get away, it is the duty of the strongest of the family to put them out of their misery. If this doesn't happen, then the deformed will become feral and both host and demon will be in pain. It is a lowly and agonizing existence as the pair don't have control over their body or what they do. No one knows how this happens, but there have been multiple attempts to stop this as much as possible.
As grizzly as this sounds, there is a good side this. The demon can exist outside of the host for a period of time. It can be a peaceful harmony between them, both can live on in happiness and fulfill each other's desires.
There have been rare times when an angel enters the Fere's body, the results are the same though on a less chaotic scale. However, there has been one instance where an angel and a demon both inhabited a body. It was a hard time for the host as having three souls in one body is rough, but it took a lot of skill to balance both out and conduct harmony between the opposing forces.
Abilities: Advanced eyesight - much like a cats', they can see further than a normal humans'. Our Atlas here can see better in the dark.
Agile Agility - he is graceful in his own right and can sneak quietly wherever he pleases... however, this doesn't excuse him from being clumsy now and again. He will certainly trip over nothing if he isn't paying attention to where he's going.

Personal Information
Likes: Spicy food, a warm place to lounge, talking to new people, pulling pranks
Dislikes: When people call him unholy, talking about the process of gaining a demon soul, rude people
Strengths: agility (can sneak and can run for miles), adaptability (can withstand heat and cold, which is why he dresses like he does), speed (links in with Agility)
Weaknesses: Extreme conditions, pain (low pain threshold), shoes
Goals: He wants to be the best he can be in class and he wants to be friends with everyone he can be friends with
Fears: That the demon will take over and change who he is. He doesn't want to hurt anyone as a demon nor as a man.
Personality:
He has a bubbly personality and if he is asked, he will pull a prank with you. He can help as much as he can with whatever you need, just so long as you make up for it later. However, he gets dark when you start talking about demons. Since he is a vessel for demons, it isn't a topic he wants to talk about while he is still who he is. He wants to enjoy life, see what he can see, eat what he wants to eat and run as fast as he wants to while he has the freedom to do so. He is a free spirit (no pun intended) and he wants to live his life when he can before he gets his demon soul.
History:
Atlas grew up in a small rural community of Spirit Caskets like him. It was simple living, there were no electronics there. However, one resource the community did have running water at least. As Atlas grew up, he was told of the importance of their existence and that their species was specifically made to house the souls of demons. He was always hopeful that he would be able to house an angel, but they were dashed once his tutor told him of their history and that it was rare for a Fere to house an angel.
When he reached the age of 15, he started to see all of his friends were changing. His childhood best friend, one he had known since he was 3, came up to him one day. He tried to make conversation and talk about their usual topics, but he acted like he never even knew him. It took a moment before he realized that he was talking to the demon, not his best friend. This demon had no interest in speaking with him at all. This instilled a fear in him that he would never be the same after what happened. however, it didn't change his outlook on life and his species' purpose.
His father told him about Otherworlde and how he could use the Psionics classes to stay true to himself, along with any other classes that the demon may want to attend. Atlas wasn't too sure about going to this school, but if it would help then he would go. He even said he would write home as often as he could about what he was up to and where he was going. He is close to his family, so being away from them is a scary aspect of leaving for school.

Roleplaying Preferences
I RP on Notes and on Discord. If it's going to be long term/with different ocs, I'll make a server and set up channels so we can keep track of things
I'm all for Angst, but it can't be the whole subject. Also no bullying my ocs. If that happens, I will stop. It's fine to tease and all that good stuff, but I will not tolerate out right bullying or outcasting.

Atlas: -he bumps into the other and stumbles a little, losing his balance for a moment before he turned to them- oh, hey! I'm sorry about that, you okay? I didn't see you or you didn't see me. That's alright, as long as you're okay. Is there anything I can do to make up for this?
Lit
The Fere sat there and looked out the window, losing himself in his own mind. It wasn't thoughts of what he had to do for class or who would be his friends right now. No, his mind turned to what demon he would have. A demon of Envy? Lust? Wrath? He didn't know, but he just wanted to stay as he was. He would gladly take a demon, but he was scared that he would lose sense of himself and fade away like he had seen some of his friends do. He may be him for now, but what would the demon do to his soul, to his body? he had been told that everything would be fine when it happened, though would it really? Would everything really be fine?
He watched the rain fall, trying not to think about all of that. Maybe he was overreacting to everything. Everything will turn out like it should... wouldn't it?
