Boruto is not Naruto. He was never going to be. Honestly make sarada the main character and we automatically have a better story.

I do like Sarada but classic Naruto and Sarada have the same goal of hokage I know there are differences but are those differences enough

Of the stuff that wasn't anime only filler (i.e. adapted from manga) there is at least a decently sizable chunk of the story before the time skip that I can easily describe as....well...let's go with "salvageable". The rest is a lost cause best left forgotten, and the real tragedy of it is that most of the problems could have probably been fixed by having Sasuke dying in the Sasuke Retrieval Arc....

This kind of anime seems to be polarizing.
I'm in the "stupid" camp. Pretty much the only reason I watch any of it is because TFS recommended some Dragon Ball movies.

I think Sasuke is a pretty good character.... or at least he was at first.
Then Kishi wrote him into a wall.
With Sakura, he didn't write her into a wall. He just didn't write her.
But Sarada is not them. Yeah, she's their kid. But she can't be judged on that. In fact, one of her problems is just how dysfunctional her parent's are. Which is a pretty good plot point.
So I'll like her anyway. Because she's better than her parents.

My favorite part was when I thought Kishimoto had the balls to make Sarada not Sakura's biological daughter but instead Karin's and believing that he had kind of some explanation for it like if Sakura became infertile due to something from the war but instead it was allllllllllllllllllllllllll bullshit to string me along.
And the fact that Mr. and Mr. Human-Experimentation 1 and 2 are allies, Orochimaru being someone Naruto can just TALK TOO and Kabuto a caretaker for special-needs children IN THE LEAF VILLAGE, and somehow both of them aren't swinging from a pair of nooses right now. I liked that too.
